A SECOND HOSPITAL FOR HOPEXCHANGE!

HopeXchange announced today the completion of its acquisition of the Hospital Regional San Juan Bautista (the “Hospital”) in Jalpatagua, Guatemala from the Asociación Pro Construcción y Administración Hospital Regional San Juan Bautista. Founded in 2006 by Father Joseph Camilleri of Malta, the Hospital is today the primary source of medical care for Jalpatagua province in southeastern Guatemala.

In taking over ownership and operating control of the Hospital, HopeXchange aims to upgrade and expand its operations over time, with the ambition of replicating the success achieved with the HopeXchange Medical Center in Kumasi, Ghana.

Mario Cappello, founder and CEO of HopeXchange, commented: “We are proud to have been entrusted by Father Camilleri to carry on his life’s work in Jalpatagua and will strive to make the Hospital San Juan Bautista a center of excellence for the entire region by building upon the many synergies that exist with our operations in Ghana.” Legal support for the transaction was provided by Michael Bosco (Rome), Luis Abundio Maldonado Ayala and Nicolle Egger (Guatemala City) of Dentons.
