HIV infection is one of the most urgent health problems, particularly in low-and middle-income countries. Sub-Saharan Africa is at the epicenter of the HIV/AIDS crises with a burden of about 75% of all AIDS-related deaths. The HopeXchange Medical Center in collaboration with Yale University, USA, has a comprehensive HIV/AIDS program designed to integrate and improve education in HIV prevention and to prevent mother-to-child HIV transmission. The medical center offers integrated services in the diagnosis and comprehensive treatment for HIV patients.
