Ms. Janie L. Jeffers has served in a variety of public service positions including Deputy Commissioner, New York City Department of Correction; the National Institute of Corrections, Boulder Colorado; consultant to the World Health Organization, Geneva Switzerland; and the United States Justice Department, Washington DC. She worked for President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton at the White House. President Clinton appointed her to a 6 year term as Commissioner to the United States Parole Commission.

Currently Ms. Jeffers is President and CEO of Jeffers and Associates, LLC, a strategic management consulting firm. Ms. Jeffers holds an MSW degree and is an adjunct criminal justice policy professor at her alma mater – Howard University School of Social Work. She has many media credits, numerous speaking engagements, and authored several publications.
